Head of Health Insights


Dulce Alonso, PhD has collaborated in US qualitative research projects for a more than a decade. Her professional background began as an early-stage pharmaceutical researcher, with experience working at a pharmaceutical company's drug development arm. She subsequently worked at research centers at Yale University, Northwestern University and the University of Pennsylvania, participating in NIH and private sector funded projects to develop promising treatments for different diseases and conditions. She holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences with Honors from the University of Salamanca (Spain).


Dulce has obtained advanced qualitative research moderator training from the RIVA Institute, for both virtual and in-person group dynamics across a variety of audience profiles. Dulce has also completed Harvard Business School's CORe program, specializing in data analytics and project management.

In her current role as head of health insights, she collaborates with a team of researchers with similar professional but diverse cultural backgrounds to conduct specialized research for a host of valued healthcare sector clients. As a US-based healthcare insights expert, Dulce provides clear strategic and tactical guidance to better customize her clients’ marketing efforts, routinely providing thoughtful analysis and guidance, as well as quickly recognizing patterns to see relevant trends within a medical audience profile.

In terms of moderation, the audience profiles she has experience moderating research with include patients, physicians, nurses, physician assistants, caregivers, pharmacists, rehab specialists, insurance payers, hospital administrators, chiefs of staff and healthcare policy decision makers. While Dulce specializes in the US Hispanic market, both her health research and moderation experience also spans a broad array multicultural profiles. In addition to US-centered research, she has also conducted dozens of projects involving patient audiences and medical professional profiles in Latin America, Europe and Asia.

Dulce has designed research and moderated in-depth telephone interviews, cognitive interviews, ethnographies, observational research, and focus groups (both in person and virtual) on projects for clients in a wide range of healthcare sectors such as medical devices, pharmaceuticals, oncology, radiology, cardiology, biotech, insurance, senior care and healthcare IT.
